2 shooting in Stockton leaves 3 people dead, police say

Three people were killed in two separate shootings in Stockton Friday night, authorities said. Two other people were also injured in the shootings. The first shooting happened at the 300 block of Coventry Drive around 11:18 p.m., the Stockton Police Department said. Officers found four people with gunshot wounds. A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene.Two others, a 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were taken to the hospital, authorities said. Eighth Street after 11:30 p,m., according to police. Officers found a 30-year-old man there with multiple gunshot wounds. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene, authorities said. Police did not release a description of the shooter or the victims of either incident. No other details were released.So far in 2022, 19 homicides have been reported, according to Stockton police.
