Dive teams are searching for a missing person in icy waters at a lake north of Truckee after multiple ice skaters fell in on Saturday, authorities said.Five people were able to get themselves out of the water at Stampede Meadows Reservoir, the Truckee Fire Protection District said on social media.Multiple agencies responded to the scene. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office dive team and a remote-operated vehicle are working with the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office to search for the missing person. CareFlight and CHP helicopters provided care to the five people who got out of the ice, authorities said.Authorities urge everyone to stay off the ice on area lakes as they say, “it is impossible to know the safety and stability of the ice, especially with the recent warmer temperatures.”This is a developing story, stay with KCRA 3 for the latest.
