Four Pennsylvania state troopers hurt in crash

Four Pennsylvania state troopers were hurt Monday night when they were involved in a crash that was part of a chase in Franklin County.Pennsylvania State Police said the troopers tried to pull over a vehicle around 11:45 p.m. in Chambersburg when it took off.During the chase, two police cars were involved in a crash near the intersection of Route 30 and Shatzer Orchard Road.The driver police said they were chasing, Christopher Naugle, 36, of Chambersburg, was taken into custody.Two of the troopers are still in the hospital. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.”During the pursuit, two trooper vehicles were involved in a crash at Lincoln Way West (SR30) and Shatzer Orchard Rd., Hamilton Township. The operator was then taken into custody at that location.”The operator was identified as Christopher Shaun Naugle, 36, of Chambersburg, Pa. Charges include: fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person as well as multiple summary traffic violations.”Four troopers were injured in the crash. Two were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for moderate non-life threatening injuries and are in stable condition at this time.”
