A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed to death in Sacramento on Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department said.Just after 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Norwood Avenue for reports of an assault, police said.When officers arrived on scene they located a female victim who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers attempted emergency aid to the victim and she was transported to a local hospital where she later died, police said.Officers detained 23-year-old Sergio Lua-Torres at the scene. Torres was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County main jail for homicide charges.
