Two people were killed and two were injured in a shooting Saturday morning at the Park Plaza apartments in Brown Deer. Brown Deer police said they got a call of shots fired at about 10:10 a.m. When officers arrived, they were shot at by a person on the second floor of the building. A squad car was hit, but no officers were injured. No children were shot, Police Chief Pete Nimmer said. Officers did not return fire.One of the injured is in critical condition, Nimmer said. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said one man and one women were killed.Police have the suspected shooter in custody. A WISN 12 News photojournalist said there were multiple police agencies, fire trucks and ambulances at the scene, along with two armored vehicles. There were officers from Brown Deer, Milwaukee and Wauwatosa at the scene. WISN 12 News has a crew at the scene and will have updates as soon as they become available.
